Terra Venture expeditions are demanding by design. Readiness doesn’t mean being elite. It means being prepared for sustained movement, adapting to changing conditions, and showing up with respect for the group and the places we move through. Optional coaching exists to support that preparation.
Coaching supports sustainable movement, effort management, and recovery over multiple days. It helps participants arrive prepared, not depleted. Coaching is optional. It is not required to participate.
Jen Segger has spent over two decades moving through remote terrain at the highest levels of endurance sport, from ultra trail running and adventure racing to mountain expeditions across North America. She has raced internationally, set multiple West Coast FKTs, and guided multi-day running and fastpacking expeditions in some of the most demanding landscapes in Canada.
As an expedition guide and coach, Jen brings deep experience without ego. She understands how people move through sustained effort, uncertainty, and discomfort, and how to support that process without controlling it. Her approach prioritizes durability, adaptability, and confidence over pace or performance.
Jen works with a wide range of athletes, from seasoned endurance racers to those preparing for their first multi-day expedition. She is calm under pressure, reads groups quickly, and knows when to step in and when to step back. People trust Jen because she trusts them first.
